The Work of the Day

Good morning to the red sun’s rays,

Let us reserve our kingdom’s stay.

Let us do the will of God,

Let us walk the path less trod.

Let us think about what’s best,

Watch the love of souls attest.

See the fields all wet with dew,

Hear the words I say to you.

Do not be tired, Do not be weak,

Do not bring troubles from last night’s sleep.

Do not worry, do not fear,

Let us remember the Lord is here.

There are two paths that we can go,

One is empty, the other less known.

Let us recall what wisdom taught,

Let us not fall to that which rots.

Let us carry the heavy wood,

Let us do what good beings should.

Let us lift all those who seek,

Let us bring our fruit to thee.

Be not troubled or afraid,

Do these things and win today.
