A Variety of Color

Image

Through the glass comes different colors,

Some are different then the others,

There is pink and some bright blue,

along with green and orange too.

Through the glass comes sun outside,

But it still hits us at different times.

And even then the light reflects,

The different way humans express.

You see the God, the God above,

knows your heart and knows your love.

So don’t worry about fitting in,

It seems God’s window has much tint.

David

David

David is a farm laborer, also known as a ‘hired hand.’ He is best friends with Michael, the main character in my novel, “Way of the World.” He nicknames Michael ‘Strange’ and constantly brings him to shake his head with the things he says. Even with all his horse-play, at the end of the day David is a warrior, and defends Michael in an epic battle with the monstrous Goliat.

Now See the Crown

Image

On the ground looking down endless sounds of silence abound,

Feel afraid worry’s craze mess of thoughts like dreams un-made.

Breath is weak,

heart is heavy,

craving big,

loss is steady.

Turning left, turning right, neither way presents much sight,

Look above, see that dove? the soft warm white of looking dumb?

Think again my childish friend, see it harder the way is smarter.

Reach out, pick yourself up, jump again and feel that flood –

Of hope not drowned, of ways soon found, a road to go where you’ll be crowned.

Walk that path, strut that shit, bounce that chin and act legit.

Behave, your ready, no more kidding, this road’s the one where you beat many.

Semos and Mr. Hubblefurd

ImageThis is Semos and Mr. Hubblefurd, two very different characters. Mr. Hubblefurd is always out of breath, and Semos is called, ‘Old man Semos’ by most of Gnashing’s townsfolk. He has a lawn that seeping with red blood and frogs, but nobody knows why.

Writer’s Conference!

Ok just finished with a three day weekend writers conference, run by Writer’s Digest in the LA area. Awesome! If you’ve never gone to one your really should. I probably got 20 something business cards, contact information of four different agents, and the chance meetings of several really important people. Very interested in screenwriting industry. Anyways, I’m extremely tired now, but I will write more about his awesome event later…

Can you believe that there are places where writers get together in real life?? And when you talk about writing your book, other people talk about writing their own, and you realize you’re not just an alien?? Awesome!

Let the Tree Grow

Image

Tired sobs run through my head, nose congested feel like dread.

Tomorrow marks a big day for me, if tomorrow sparks then fire springs.

Yet right now I feel like sighing, so damn tired, so long been trying.

Can’t speak too much of things unsaid, can’t think too much just want my bed.

No more pain in sleep at night, no more turning sleepless nights.

I hope to God I move somewhere, I hope so badly that fruit will bear.

Moving on from living dreams, achieving them is the next best thing.

Eghhh…

Image

Snuffy nose, wounding cough, thickly breath and silent thoughts.

Working another day away, watching bright skies fade to grey.

Aging fast, years they follow, never give in to past-withdrawals.

That day’s gone, so will today, and tomorrow will pass away.

What’s to say when time keeps slippin’ – not too much just keep on kickin’.
