This monologue marks the first time I’ve bothered memorizing lines for my acting class. I have to say I’m pleased with the result, but I’ll let you be the judge.
*This monologue is an excerpt from Se7en. The lines are delivered by a character named John Doe, who is played by Kevin Spacey. It is a great horror film and features one of the greatest movie endings of all-time.

π Awesome!
Thank you, Carisa!
You’re welcome π
This is so good! π
Thank you! Love your blog btw, super creative and intriguing!
Great job, Thomas. The emotions, body language and vocal inflections were spot on.
Thank you, Kevin! Yeah, it’s the first I’ve felt like I delivered a decent performance. Great breakdown though, you sound like an expert!
I did a bit of role play in college, filled in teaching drama in school a couple of times, and my younger sis does drama and murder mysteries. Not a pro by a long shot. π
Haha. It’s really fun to act, and helps me realize the motivation necessary for characters to have in stories. I would like to film some things and put them on youtube, mainly because it is so much easier to get people to view stories than it is to get them to read them!
Hair game on point, followed closely by creepiness.
Se7en is such an entertaining movie, “WHAT’S IN THE BOXXXXX?!?!?!”
Haha, thanks Zanthee. I seriously love that movie. I wish there were more great horror and suspense films, but unfortunately too many who write in these genres focus more on shock and gruesomeness than compelling stories. Se7en is unforgettable because of that harsh twist at the end… but they never showed us what was in the box, so never can be 100% sure!
