God

When the music plays and no one sings,

When sights of beauty come to thee,

When I hear the voice of sounds the songs of singing going ’round.

When my heart beats just too fast and when my head hurts from last task.

When the notes all string together when the grey clouds fill the weather –

How sad it makes me feel it does to know a God that no one trust.

To feel him there and looking down to know his presence his peaceful sound.

How much it hurts my heart it quakes to feel his spirit feed me with grace and yet go trampled by the liars,

Tired of hearing falsifiers.

Tired of listening to bloated speak, tired of trying different things.

I know what’s truth I know what’s not I know my God I know what’s taught.

I know the way the voice the King I know the pain that true faith brings.

I know the art the beauty brushed I know the want of knowing such.

It gets so old so old for me that day by day the world rolls deep.

“Listen here I’ve got it down – A way to make God’s will abound.

A way to make yourself feel good a way to do what gods all should.

I’ve found the answer, it says right here – To mans opinions all should fear.’

Oh pipe down for once you trend, just shut up please you’re not my friend.

I’m tired of seeing with my eyes and hearing songs and knowing cries.

I’m tired of all of what’s been said I’m tired of courting bull-shit with dread.

The thing is one and easy and true,

The truth is this – that God loves you.

All his laws his rules and such, follow them you’ll feel a rush.

For they’re designed to grow his kingdom, to help the lowly and never leave him.

What a big mistake it is, the day that man takes God as myth.

An Overlooked Passage

There is a passage in the bible where Jesus feeds five thousand people with five loaves of bread and two fish.

The food appears to be the same before and after it is raised up to God. There are no additional loaves of bread, and nothing magical happens. So how can we understand this?

The bread is ordinary bread. A person is an ordinary person. We have problems, fears, worries and doubts. We have faced terrible events in our lives that still bother us today.

When you are far from God, in your natural state, all these problems weigh you down. They all seem to be purposeless, random events and make you into a limited being. For instance, because of what happened to you in your past, the future is now bleak.

When you give yourself to God completely, he takes all you have and makes use of it. Your prior struggles help others to Him, your defects suddenly have a purpose. He takes every piece of you and uses it to feed his cause, to feed others. You become the bread that is enough to fill others with the Spirit of God and you will never run thin doing it.

What you have is already enough to serve God’s purpose. He does not need you to become perfect before He can work through you. That is the point – what is given to God will be used by God. It is not your job to create a new self, it is your job to give your being to him. And even then, you will on the outset appear the same, your being will remain the same, but the Spirit will guide you through your work.

It is each man’s choice to keep himself or to give himself to God.

Let Us Wake

The day begins so fresh and new,

the thoughts that breed creation.

The light of sun and morning dew,

bring us to elation.

The hopes and dreams for what today could be,

will bring us to frustrations.

To complete the goals of dreaming souls,

to commit divine translation.

To bring from God what wisdom taught,

to beat the world’s temptation.

To hear the voice and miss the sounds,

to work hard at work stations.

It is the time to smile bright,

to say this will be new.

It is the time to remind ourselves,

our troubles will be through.

Do not start weary or depressed,

start up ready and refreshed.

Combat the battles that you must,

defend the King from evil’s lust.

Live to conquer and you shall see,

this day the world won’t conquer me.

The Storm and the Sea

White winds blow softly,

Black storms rustle too,

But the true trouble at sea always seems to be the gloom.

The ships always sail, through happy tides through,

But come to dismay when hurricanes brew.

Row on I say, turn that steering wheel brute,

A sailor at sea is a man who is true.

There can be no lie, no false flag that flies,

There can be no wave who real men still despise.

Realize and see, take some good care,

There are still no currents who are truly unfair.

Ride on through it, battle and cruise,

Beat that damn current with your paddles and booze.

I never once saw, not once did I see, any sizable wave who was bigger than me.

Oh how I have scared, oh how I have lost, oh how many times in the sea I’ve been tossed.

You think I am finished? In sinking despair? You’ve think I’m all gone because the winds did not care?

No no no no, no no no na he-he-he, I am still McWatty, please do not doubt me.

I will find the strength, I will conquer these.

The currents of waves are no match for me.

How can I say? How can I fare? How can I believe when my boat’s no loner there?

I will tell you now, the secret you see, the great key to winning is to think just like me.

There is no storm as great as eyes see, there is no wave who can conquer these;

Principals I know, thoughts are aglow, knowledge of knowing a faith hardly known.

The way to the win, the way past the sea, the way to defeating the beasts of your dreams.

It is all so simple, it is idiocy you see, it’s having belief in the childish things. For on one side is temptation, the physical snares, on one side is sin who hides you from what is still there.

On the other side of worry, of knowledge and doubt, well beyond fearing is a faith that’s devout. The way to this level, above what is bare, the way to reaching a God who few others know cares.

The pathway of light, the windmill of plight, is to keep on going when there is no end in sight. If you can set foot, toes to the sand, soon you will see the waves break and then disappear.

So go be an idiot, a fool just like me, go on believing that faith will conquer these. It is the true secret, hidden from shouts, it is the big hidden in a world full of clout. Go look and see, wake up and you’ll find, the best way of winning is to believe what’s divine.
