Casey, Jackson, and Gus

Casey, Jackson, and Gus

Casey is an Irishman who is vulgar, funny, and despicable. He loves his ‘shillelagh’, which is nothing more than a blunt club.

Jackson is an Australian, who is well-built and as crude as Casey.

Gus speaks with a croaky voice, and always is agitated about something. He is heavy, and not too fun to be around.

Artie, Norman, and Willie

Artie, Norman, and Willie

These three are the first batch of bandits from Wild Bill’s gang.

Artie has a gold corner tooth and laughs like a hyena. He is by far the most annoying of the group, but also happens to be the brightest.

Willie is a creep. Plain and simple. He has black, stringy-hair and spends the majority of his time searching for worms in the ground or picking his nose. He loves Sylvester, but despises Adam.

Norman is built like a statue. He laughs in a low, monotone voice.”Haugh, haugh, haugh.” He doesn’t say much else.

Wild Bill

Wild Bill

Wild Bill is by far the most menacing of all his bandits. He carries with him an 11 inch Belgium pacifier. The sawed-off shotgun is attached to a shoulder sling, and lining the interior of his black coat are steel hacksaw blades.

He was the father figure to my main character Michael, influencing him into committing both the Bandit Beach Massacre and the Slave Owner Slaughter.

Evelynn

Evelynn

Evelynn has apple-green eyes and a perfect figure. She causes Adam to lose his breath at first sight, and affects him to such a degree he becomes reckless in his pursuit to court her. Curiously, she looks outstandingly similar to ‘Hope Iden’, the star actress in Gnashing’s biggest play. Benny and Crank, however, insist that Evelynn and Hope Iden are not the same person.

Marshal Paul

Marshal Paul

Marshal Paul IS law enforcement in Gnashing. He chases Michael out of Gnashing the very first day he arrives. Though he claims only justice, his actions constantly tend to go against the wrong people. He chews and spits tobacco quite often, and is hardly shy to pull the trigger. He looks out for the well-being of his town, and is unafraid make any lawbreakers uncomfortable by doing so.

David

David

David is a farm laborer, also known as a ‘hired hand.’ He is best friends with Michael, the main character in my novel, “Way of the World.” He nicknames Michael ‘Strange’ and constantly brings him to shake his head with the things he says. Even with all his horse-play, at the end of the day David is a warrior, and defends Michael in an epic battle with the monstrous Goliat.

Semos and Mr. Hubblefurd

ImageThis is Semos and Mr. Hubblefurd, two very different characters. Mr. Hubblefurd is always out of breath, and Semos is called, ‘Old man Semos’ by most of Gnashing’s townsfolk. He has a lawn that seeping with red blood and frogs, but nobody knows why.
